Who am I working with, here?
Hi, I’m Erin. I work with people who want a simple, affordable, and delicious way to revolutionize their health. I give them the tools needed to optimize the way they look, feel, and perform. I do this using a functional and ancestral approach. That means I use a whole-person approach to analyze the under-lying reasons for your concerns. I then recommend the best nutrient-dense foods, supplements, testing, and lifestyle interventions to help you thrive.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, dual registered in the US and the UK. I am a board-certified as a practitioner of Integrative and Functional nutrition by the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. I am a distinguished graduate of The US Air Force Academy (B.S. Biology), University of Colorado (M.S. Integrative Physiology), Eastern Michigan University (B.S. Dietetics), and the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (Aerospace Physiologist Course). I have been a personal trainer for eleven years, and for two years owned a business developing and coaching group fitness classes.
What does this all mean for you? It means that you can short-cut all that heavy reading! You can reap the benefits of my studying by working with me, since I've got nutrition all figured out! Just kidding - (hint: don't trust anyone that tells you they have nutrition completely figured out). That being said, I employ all of my experience in my work, so that each of my clients can achieve amazing results.
When I’m not creating custom nutrition and exercise therapy I can be found taking care of my three boys, ages 6 and 3, and newborn, and hanging out with my amazing husband. We are an American family living in the UK and love to travel. I basically spend any free time I have working out and creating delicious new ancestral meals. The joke in our house is that if you like your dinner you better eat seconds - you'll never see the same meal twice!
If you'd like to know more, I used to have this amazing job - I flew in jets like F-16s, flew on high-altitude airdrop missions, and practiced getting rescued out of the ocean by a helicopter. I spent seven years in the Air Force as an Aerospace Physiologist officer. My job was to optimize performance for personnel such as pilots, special forces, and military police. These methods included nutrition, exercise, sleep, and performance psychology.
But here's the thing - my experience made me realize that traditional approaches to health just weren't cutting it (I cringe when I think about the times I recommended MyPlate to elite military fighters! #DietitianBlasphemy). The mediocre results I saw from dispensing conventional advice made me determined to learn a new perspective. I began following an ancestral lifestyle in 2010, and couldn't believe the impact it had. I was determined to learn more, so that I could help others with this revolutionary approach to health. I left the Air Force to study nutrition in 2012, and have no regrets. I am so excited and grateful to have the experience and knowledge to help you on your journey to wellness!
